Hello, Husky Famiies,

First, I wanted to express my deepest appreciation for your patience and support as we walk through this challenging time together! I know you are very anxious to have information on your child's cohort assignment and respectfully so. I know you need to make plans. The transportation department has to reassign cohorts based on all of the recent changes. We were told we would have the updated lists by 12:00 today. Then we need to balance out our numbers, make final decisions and our teachers will call parents to inform you of the cohort. We ARE working on assigning siblings/members of the same household on the same cohort days. If we receive the information from transportation as expected, you should receive a call from the teacher today or tomorrow at the very latest. However, we will most likely not have specific bus times yet. The school day is from 9:35-3:35. Cohort A is Tuesday and Wednesday and Cohort B is Thursday and Friday. If your child will be a car rider, in the next few days, we will be sending you very specific directions on how that process with work. We have a system in place so the students will not be gathering in the lobby as they have previous so we can maintain our safety protocols.

Our teachers will also be calling parents to let them know if we need to shift students to other classes due to the need to provide 100% remote instruction at each grade level. For example, if a teacher is a 100% remote teacher, he/she will need to shift the hybrid students to other classes. Please know that we understand your child has bonded with the teacher and we will give you the option of returning to the original class when we all come back full time, if possible. These adjustments are necessary to maintain safety protocols. Please also understand that our BHS team is AMAZING and all work collaboratively together, so the transition should be as seamless as possible.

I have attached a school supply list, if needed, that includes at school and at home supplies. If you need assistance with supplies, please communicate that to the teacher.

Also, I am attaching our 'Get Connected to BHS' for any new families.

Again, I want to express my extreme gratitude for every one of you hanging in there with us through this journey! As always, if you have any questions, concerns, feedback, ideas to share, please email me at [email protected].

Sincerely,
Mrs. Steele, Principal
