Dearington Diplomatic Core (DDC)
Dearington Diplomatic Core is a prestigious leadership program that recognizes students who have demonstrated exceptional scholastic aptitude, leadership skills, and a strong work ethic.
Each month is represented by a specific grade level. Nominations are accepted each month by faculty/staff in the building and stakeholders for students in the month's selected grade level. Those nominees are then selected to represent Dearington as student-leaders for the month.
DDC student leaders are expected to participate in school and community-based activities/projects as opportunities present themselves, be models of good character (respect, kindness, cooperation, care, self-motivation, and self-control), strong leadership skills, and positive behavior in the classroom and in the community. Additionally, their tasks may include assisting the school principal and school counselor with community engagement events in the city as needed.
