Throughout the 2025-26 school year, Lynchburg City Schools (LCS) will periodically notify families of any outstanding charges from the current year, as well as the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 school years. These notifications will be sent via email from MySchoolBucks ([email protected]) on behalf of LCS. You will also see these notices when you log into your MySchoolBucks portal.
Obligations may include charges for lost, damaged, or stolen Chromebooks, textbooks, library books, and other school property.
As outlined in School Board Policy JNZ-R, payment is due within two weeks of notification of the charge.
If a parent or guardian has not made payment by the conclusion of the school year and the total charges exceed $100, the parent will be notified by the school that the legal process for collections may be started.
To resolve an obligation, you can click the “Pay Now” link in the email or in the MySchoolBucks app to make the payment online. You can also submit a cash or a check payment (made payable to your child’s school) directly to the school bookkeeper or principal. Obligations over $20 may be paid in installments.
If you would like to request a payment plan or fee waiver, or if you have any questions about a charge, please contact your child’s school directly.
We appreciate your prompt attention to any outstanding balances. By resolving these obligations, you are helping to ensure the continued availability of resources for your child's education.
