Online registration is open now for the 2026-27 school year at Lynchburg City Schools (LCS)! Families with school-aged children, this is your chance to get a head start on the next school year. Registering early helps ensure class sizes are evenly distributed and bus schedules are determined well before next school year.
Registration for Grades 1-12
Current families and families new to LCS can register for the next school year by completing three easy steps:
- Complete Online Registration.
- Provide Necessary Documents: Upload proof of residency documents and necessary immunization records during Online Registration or bring them to their child’s school.
- Attend Enrollment Day on Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2026.

Kindergarten Registration
Any student who did not attend pre-kindergarten at LCS will be required to complete a thirty-minute screening assessment before starting kindergarten. Screenings will be held from June 10-12. See the Kindergarten Registration page for more information.
