The search for the next superintendent of Lynchburg City Schools (LCS) is in full swing. The Lynchburg City School Board is seeking a highly qualified, honest, and collaborative candidate to lead the division with integrity and serve as a champion for public education, starting on or before July 1, 2025. McPherson & Jacobson, L.L.C., Executive Recruitment and Development, is engaged as the consultant in the search for outstanding candidates. Learn more about the search process here.

As it looks to best meet the needs of students, families, staff members, and community members in the years ahead, the School Board seeks input that will help inform the search process. Community members are invited to attend a series of feedback sessions, during which they can share their thoughts on the experiences, attributes, and characteristics they think the next superintendent should have.
