Join us on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2024, at E. C. Glass High School for a discussion of best practices for the use of cell phones and social media both in and out of school. Alongside schools across Virginia, we’ll view a live broadcast of a fireside chat between First Lady of Virginia Suzanne S. Youngkin and award-winning social psychologist, author, and researcher Dr. Jonathan Haidt.
They’ll discuss the findings of Haidt’s book “The Anxious Generation,” which discusses how limiting social media and cell phone use can help restore childhood and play. Afterwards, there will be an interactive community conversation.
