Dear LCS families,
Here’s an update regarding SOLs this year for students in grades 3-12.
- RETAKES: At this time, LCS will not offer expedited retakes in grades 3-8 except for the middle schools in federal status.
- GRADES 3-8: In grades 3-8, the SOL tests will be used differently this year. Because SOL scores will not be used to measure accreditation at the state level, our focus is on the individual student and scores will be reviewed to determine instructional support for students in the fall. For this reason, SOL score reports for grades 3-8 will not be released until end of the year report cards are distributed.
- GRADES 9-12: High school students will still need to retest due to verified credit needs for graduation requirements.
