The 12th annual ‘Breakfast with the Superintendent’ on March 8, 2018 was a special treat for this years’ attendees! The E. C. Glass High School Jr. Air Force ROTC and the Heritage High School Instrumental Chamber Ensemble kicked off the event and attendees were introduced to incoming superintendent Dr. Crystal M. Edwards through a recorded message centered around 'Glows and Grows.' This program was definitely a GLOW as the audience enjoyed the keynote presentation, "In Their Own Words: Growing Up in LCS.” E. C. Glass High School English teacher, Mr. Aaron Reid, served as master of ceremonies as E. C. Glass High School seniors Macy Brandon and Kyle Mendez and Heritage High School seniors Grace Chun and Manan Shah impressed the crowd with their intellect, poise and compassion. They shared stories and insights of their experiences at LCS: things they've learned, mistakes they've made, and how they chose to address and learn from challenges and opportunities presented to them by their school communities. If these students are the example of the next generation, the future is indeed bright!
This event is open to local business and community leaders as well as citizens who are interested learning more about the Lynchburg City Schools. If you'd like to sponsor a table at this event, please complete and submit the Breakfast Registration Form.
