LES students visit city councilSome Linkhorne Elementary School students got to sit on City Council earlier this month. Gifted students from third, fourth and fifth grade went downtown to visit the mayor. They were allowed to sit in council members’ chairs and vote on a topic. The students also had a long question and answer session with Mayor Joan Foster and Vice Mayor Ceasor Johnson. The students asked a lot of incredible questions about taxes, how tax cuts affect adults in Lynchburg, and what they need to do to become a council member.
