What are intersession weeks?
  • 1 week of each quarter
  • Teacher identified students attend
  • Non-identified students DO NOT attend
  • Transportation and meals provided
  • Hours: 8:10 a.m.-noon each day
  • Purpose: To aid in closing learning gaps in reading and math.
What time does school start and end each day?
  • Bass school day hours are 8:10 a.m.-3:10 p.m.
What if I don’t send my child to school until the rest of LCS starts in August?
  • Zoned Bass students will not be placed at other schools when beginning in August.
  • Your child will miss the first 22 days of our school year. 
  • This means your child misses:
    • Building community and friendships in the classroom
    • Learning classroom and school rules and routines
    • Academic skills and knowledge taught during those days
  • Student attendance will be monitored daily.
  • Attendance policies apply from the first day of school.
Why do Bass students wear uniforms?

We believe that uniforms affect positive change in our school by:

  • Reducing peer pressure
  • Increasing safety and security
  • Eliminating the wearing of inappropriate clothing
  • Improving personal responsibility and accountability
  • Establishing a school community and creating a positive atmosphere
What do students wear for uniforms?

Tops

  • Collared polo shirts or button down (short or long sleeved)
  • Dark green, dark blue, white, or light blue.
  • Layered options - Sweaters/Sweatshirts without hoods in uniform colors
  • Bass logo apparel - available to purchase throughout the year

Bottoms

  • Pants, shorts, skorts, jumpers
  • Tan or dark blue
Where can I find uniforms?

  • If you need assistance with uniforms we do have some donated pieces to help you get started with school clothing. 
What can I do with uniforms that my child has outgrown?
