Dear LCS families,

Our Return to Learn team continues to be dedicated to planning for more days of in-person instruction for our students.

As previously shared, PreK-2 hybrid students will begin four days a week of in-person learning beginning on Tuesday, April 13. We are now planning to bring hybrid students in grades 3-5 back four days a week beginning on April 20.

GRADES 3-5

Hybrid: Beginning Tuesday, April 20, all hybrid students in grades 3-5 will attend in-person learning four days per week (Tuesdays-Fridays). On Mondays, remote learning will continue and instruction will be delivered via Google Classroom.

Connecting: Teachers will be reaching out to families in the coming week to confirm that you will be sending hybrid students to school for four days of in-person instruction.

Transportation: If you are able to transport your child, let your child’s teacher know. This will help us to ensure we are able to transport children who would otherwise not have transportation. We will notify you prior to April 20 if there are any changes to your bus times or bus numbers.

Remote: There is no change in the instructional model for remote-only students for the remainder of the year. The remote-only option remains available for all students.

PREK-SECOND GRADE

SUMMER OPPORTUNITIES

Stayed tuned in the coming weeks for more information about summer opportunities.

SAFETY MEASURES

The majority of our elementary school staff who chose to be vaccinated have been vaccinated. New guidelines suggest that social distancing restrictions could move from 6 feet to 3 feet with effective mitigation in place, allowing us to bring more students into the classrooms at one time. We continue to follow the health mitigation strategies including requiring all staff and students to wear masks.

We are excited about safely bringing back more students! If you have questions or concerns, please contact your child’s teacher or school. As always, thank you for working together with us!
