Dear LCS community,

We have some highlights to share with you from our School Board Meeting on Tuesday, January 11, 2022.

During the LCS Community Update, Superintendent Dr. Crystal Edwards provided information regarding the high school schedule for 2022-23. Principals Beatty and Flaugher joined her as they explained that high schools will continue to utilize the A/B Block Scheduling for the 2022-23 school year. The new CDC guidelines were discussed. Also, the Board approved Dr. Edwards’ recommendation to extend the 2-hour early release for an additional six weeks.

Deputy Superintendent Amy Pugh presented the High School Program of Studies for the 2022-23 school year.

The next School Board Work Session is scheduled for Tuesday, January 25, at 5:00 p.m. in the Board Room of the School Administration Building. The next School Board Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 1, at 5:00 p.m. in the Board Room of the School Administration Building.
